Ellie has been tested through Embark for over 220 diseases and is clear for all those genetic health conditions. She is a carrier for a common condition in Retrievers called Ichthyosis. We have done the extensive DNA testing on her. She is a carrier of ichthyosis but since it is a recessive disorder as long as she is bred to a clear male no puppies will have it. If one parent is clear the pups cannot be affected.
