 When we were finally ready to bring our first ever furry friend home, we were on the lookout for someone who fostered a warm and welcoming home and to our immense pleasure, we found Great Oaks Kennel online. We went through their website at length and spent a long time reading all the glowing testimonies. The connection with this family begins on their website and just gets better with time. We loved how neat and detailed their website is. We didn’t take long to decide that we wanted to bring our puppy home from Great Oaks Kennel. We were able to have a quick conversation with Jill before putting down a deposit online. She helped us understand the process and shared pictures & videos with us all along, until the day we brought our little one home. The Murray’s are wonderful people and the entire experience has been a great one for us. They gave us all the time we needed to pick our puppy. They patiently answered all the questions we had as new parents. We were able to relax at home knowing our boy was in good hands until he was ready to come home to us.  We highly recommend Great Oaks to prospective puppy owners.

We purchased from Great Oaks, an absolutely sweet, beautiful, loving, gentle female Golden Retriever.  From the start of our contact with Jill and Justin Murray to picking up our puppy, the Murray's and their children couldn't have been more committed to working with us to answer all of our many questions, immediately contacting us and keeping us informed (including sending puppy photographs) all along the way.The Kennel, which we were invited to visit prior to purchasing, and then picking up our puppy, is a clean, safe, wide-open environment for the puppies.  Aside from the caliber of the breeder, we look to select how much the breeder cares for their dogs and the puppies that are born.  The Murray's whole family are loving and caring people.... that is so special and we can't be grateful enough for their personal and professional efforts and care.

Jill and Justin made this an easy process. We are very excited to have our new furry family member!  Great Oaks Kennel has been so helpful all along the way.  We decided to add to our family after coming with our daughter to pick up her furry baby!  It was love at first sight.  I would definitely recommend using Great Oaks! 

From the very beginning, we knew Great Oaks was the perfect choice for us. The communication with Jill and Justin amazing. They answered all the questions we had right away! The puppies start their lives with such a loving family and a perfect setting to be raised in. It was so hard for us to pick our sweet boy since they were all so sweet but we didn't feel rushed and we able to take our time! We would refer all of our friends and family to Great Oaks Kennel! We had a wonderful experience with Great Oaks from start to finish.  They were excellent communicators throughout the process.  From the time the litter was born, we received pictures and videos of the puppies at least once a week. These alone revealed the time, attention, and care Jill and Justin put into their pups. They were also extremely flexible. We traveled to their home three times and Jill was accommodating with every visit. They never rushed us and spent time introducing us to all their dogs. Friendly and professional-we highly recommend Great Oaks! 

Ever since I was a little girl, I always told my parents how I wanted a golden retriever whenever I got older. Fast forward... I finally graduated from college in December 2020! My father surprised me with a trip to Oklahoma to pick out my own puppy for my graduation gift. Life with Gracie has been nothing but amazing. I did not know I could love a puppy this much until I held her in my arms for the first time. She is sweet (but sassy), full of energy, and loves to cuddle. She always keeps me on my toes! I am beyond thankful for Justin and Jill for giving me my sweet "Gracie-Girl". My experience with Great Oaks Kennel was nothing but fantastic. Our family is blessed with two beautiful golden retrievers from Great Oaks Kennel. Our first, Lucy, is four years old and is the center of our household. She greets each one of us with excitement when we come in and snuggles by us after a hard day. Now we welcome our second golden, Finley. To say we have had a great experience with Great Oaks Kennel is an understatement. We knew we wanted a Golden Retriever in our lives and when we found Great Oaks Kennel it seemed to be a good choice. Their website was beyond informative and from the moment I contacted Justin & Jill  they were extremely helpful. The response time was incredible and the communication was constant whether it was through e-mail, phone or text. They have been accommodating and very informative throughout the process. While it is obvious that communication was constant and timely, their dedication to these puppies and love for animals was even more evident as time went on. We are receiving our puppy, Samson, from a home that is surrounded by caring and loving individuals--Justin, Jill, and their children. The wait is finally over and we are beyond thrilled to welcome Samson into our home. Our experience with Great Oaks has been absolutely wonderful. Jill and Justin went out of their way to keep us a part of the process from day one. We received pictures of our little girl right after she was born, and have been getting weekly (sometimes even more often) picture and video updates ever since. We live a little over 8 hours away, so we didn't get to meet our pup until pick up day, but because of the extra effort put forth by Jill and Justin, we didn't feel left out.
Beyond keeping us included in this process, they've done an outstanding job caring for our little girl while she developed. We did a ton of research and had a lot of criteria that we were looking for when selecting a breeder. From our first phone call, they were very open and honest about their entire process; even saying that maybe their dogs weren't for us when we mentioned that genetic testing certificates were something we required. The fact that they were willing to lose business to make sure their puppies were exactly what we were looking for was what set them above all of the other breeders we were considering. That kind of commitment to their values and quality has made them wonderful caregivers for our little girl as she grew. Their dedication to the puppies spending at least 8 weeks with mom before going home, and the weening schedule they have in place proves that they have the puppies' health and happiness at the forefront of their business. They've truly set our little girl up to have a happy and healthy life, and we could not have made a better choice of who to put our faith in for this process. We can't recommend them enough 

We have been a Golden Retriever loving family for almost 15 years and the challenge is finding a quality breeder who you can trust. The Murrays have been awesome to work with. They are quick to respond to questions and are knowledgeable of the breed. They have made the decision and purchasing process very easy and their 3 year health guarantee goes beyond what a lot of other breeders provide. As we get ready to pick up our puppy we know we are in good hands. 

 I have had a dream of having a Golden puppy my entire life.  As the years have gone by I finally decided the timing was perfect to get a puppy.  I am now retired and ready to fill my days with puppy love.  After a couple of experiences on being scammed and no puppy a friend recommended Greak Oaks Kennel to me.  She had purchased a puppy a couple of years ago and told me the great experience they had.  I did some research and contacted them.  I was told there was a wait list but they took my number.  I would be patient.   I was ecstatic when Justin called to say a female puppy had come available.  He walked me through the deposit process which was so easy.

Over the weeks they have kept in touch, sending me pictures and video of my baby girl.  I will be picking her up this week.

When I called about their German Shepherd puppies from Great Oak Kennel, Justin contacted me back right away.  He answered all questions that I asked him. I felt confident in Great Oaks when he answered my questions about temperament of his puppies.  I looked very carefully on every site to look for that perfect pet for my family and I.  I had 10 German Shepherd puppies on my mind and forgot them all when I found Great Oaks Kennel.  Justin's videos really took to heart when I pinpointed my baby Max.  Max is gentle to all of my daughters.  He greets all family members at the door.  Potty training was a breeze.  He has a very high IQ when it comes to learning.  Max learned 3 commands in less than 10 minutes each day, which caught me by surprise.  You may go online to find a German Shepherd puppy for the price of $3000 to $5000 with champion bloodline & showlines, but you can't find a better place at a better price than Great Oaks Kennel.  I'd like to thank Justin and Jill Murray and their daughters for taking the time on making Max a well behaved puppy.

Being prospective first time paw parents, we were skeptical and on the fence about the decision. Chatting with many breeders trying to find our perfect puppy was an arduous process.

Our first call to Justin was all it took to make the decision that was suddenly obvious. After we made the puppy choice, Jill eased the painful waiting process by sending us regular pics and videos of our beautiful Bernedoodle puppy,  Maze. 

The Visit, Jill and Justin were great hosts when we visited them on puppy pick day and patiently answered all the questions the new paw parents had. Assured us, that it’s OK to feel anxious and We will be alright and we will survive.
